Obama Could Unite Americans

Obama laid out his message of change in a recent interview demonstrating his unique ability to be a uniter of America in contrast to a more polarizing Hillary Clinton who would only stir up the controversies and partisan battles of the past.

Obama Says He Can Unite U.S. 'More Effectively' Than Clinton

"I think it is fair to say that I believe I can bring the country together more effectively than she can," Obama said. "I will add, by the way, that is not entirely a problem of her making. Some of those battles in the '90s that she went through were the result of some pretty unfair attacks on the Clintons. But that history exists, and so, yes, I believe I can bring the country together in a way she cannot do. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't be running."
This is precisely the reason I believe Obama is a more formidable candidate in a general election. A Clinton nomination would be a gold mind for Republican operatives who would love nothing more than to tar her with everything, including the kitchen sink. It's the best hope the GOP has of uniting their party against a common, hated villain, rather than in support of any of their weak candidates.

Obama is a leader with proven judgment who Americas, if they want to turn the page and renew their belief in government, should consider electing. As Obama states, a change in parties is not enough. We need new leadership and a new way of conducting business in Washington.

Debunking Obama Smears: Madrassa & Muslim Myths

Despite the fact that various news organizations have investigated and debunked claims that Barack Obama is a Muslim or attended an extremist "Madrassa" as a child, certain groups and internet bloggers continue to spread false information which amounts to slander.

It's dishonest and a cowardly attempt to scare people with lies.

For the record:
1. Obama is a Christian
2. The schools he attended were nothing out of the ordinary.

Background: When he was a child in Indonesia, Obama spent a couple of years at a Catholic school and another couple of years at a school that was predominantly Muslim (because Indonesia itself is predominantly Muslim). In his 2006 book, The Audacity of Hope, Obama elaborated on his early schooling, explaining that he attended both Catholic and Muslim schools in Indonesia — not out of any particular religious affiliation, but because his mother wanted him to obtain the best education possible under the circumstances:
During the five years that we would live with my stepfather in Indonesia, I was sent first to a neighborhood Catholic school and then to a predominantly Muslim school; in both cases, my mother was less concerned with me learning the catechism or puzzling out the meaning of the muezzin's call to evening prayer than she was with whether I was properly learning my multiplication tables.

False Email States: Illinois senator Barack Obama is a "radical, ideological Muslim."

Why Barack Obama for President?

As a volunteer for the Barack Obama for President campaign, I often get asked "Why Barack?".

Here's a simple answer: CHANGE

If you're tired of Washington politics as usual, the he-said, she-said, tit-for-tat, back and forth, constant rehashing of old grudges, from an all-talk-no-action leadership, here is your chance to start fresh.

What better way to send a message to your fellow Americans and the world that you are serious about change than to vote for an intelligent, straight talking leader who has demonstrated the courage of his convictions by taking tough stands (against the Iraq War) when the political winds where against him, and proven his ability to work across party lines throughout his career in both the Illinois Senate and the US Senate.

All I'm asking is that you keep an open mind and tune in to hear what Senator Obama has to say and ask yourself if our country could use an infusion of new ideas and leadership or if we want more of the same?

I hope you'll join me in voting for a fresh start.
